Film
From Stripes and Spies Like Us to Coneheads and Rat Race — four decades on the big screen as actor, writer, and director.
I was always more of a writer than an actor, but SCTV got me noticed and the film roles followed. It started with a TV movie where — a few weeks after the audition — I found myself shooting a scene opposite Henry Fonda.
On the writing side, I co-wrote Spies Like Us with Dan Aykroyd. As an actor I've turned up in Stripes with Bill Murray and Harold Ramis, Coneheads, Boris & Natasha, and Rat Race — where I finally got to make my favorite Python, John Cleese, laugh. As a director, I made The Experts with John Travolta.
